    I ran into this gallery by chance and boy, sometimes you have to love these"chances"! Those were the two words that came into my mind immediately.
    Check it out, the images are breathtaking, but not like the baby in Seinfeld...(sorry couldn't resist). Anyway this site also has one of the most informative and detailed tutorials.
    See what you think

    Hi Aaron,
    could you tell me please how do I create clickable links in my comments? That's the one thing I was looking for and couldn't find it.
    And what does this "BBCode" at the bottom here do?

    Any beginners here should really check out the tutorials on the link Raugustyn suggested at the top of this page. (I have tried to create a link but don't know if it is going to work, so follow the click link above if not). Thank you Raugustyn I found some great tips on these tutorials.

    This is an amazing, inspiring, highly recommended gallery and website.

    Marie - you should be able to post a link using the "url" bbCode tag but also write other text outside of the tags.

    Hi, me again....... can not seem to get this BBCode right, I can get either a link or text..... not both. Arghhhhhhhhhh driving me mad.
  3.
    How to link:

    [url=http://yoursite.com]yoursite[/url]

    Just follow this format and it should work.

    Anita - silly question, but how did you write the url info without it actually trying to create a link. I've been scratching my head over that one for a day or two now !
    Even when I paste your text into a new post, it still creates a link called "My Link"

    Just going through some older posts and this is for Jason in response to the query above. I think if one clicks the "Format comments as Text" box below it comes out as text as opposed to a link?

    Ah good point

    I think I'm going to add some instructions to the comment post box to let people know how to link to images and web pages - hopefully will clear up some of the confusion.

    I did a post about how I create a thumbnail that is also a link to an original photograph here. This could be a part of what you are looking for.

    g8.no - also has the distinction of being the shortest URL that I know.

    I came across the website of photographer Asano Shigeru and was fascinated. His photographs are glimpses of reality through reflection. Many of us are fascinated by reflection; Shigeru makes it an artistic reality. I will never look at a puddle in the same way again.

    Here's one (of many) aminus3 gallery that I always find interesting, provocative and often very funny. This artist pushes far beyond the limits of what most of us consider to be photography.

    Hi,

    Please focus on galleries in this thread. (Jason still hasn't given simple instructions on a simple thing like adding link!)

    At Smugmug they have gordious galleries, connected to a vast number of Communities: Smugmug Communities (hope this link works...)

    Hi Henrik

    I have given instructions on the link in a few other forum posts but will repost here as well...

    the link text looks like this

    [url=http://www.mylink.com]My Link Text[/url]
    This would create the words "My Link Text" which link back to mylink.com

    If you just want the link to show up as the text - you can do something like this
    [url=http://www.mylink.com]http://www.mylink.com[/url]

    the first URL in the [] tags tells the link where to go to and the second one is the text that is displayed

    Note that this link syntax works here in the forum as well as anywhere you can write text on Aminus3 (comments, image description, about page etc etc)

    Also note that "BBCode" must be turned on in the forum post at the bottom where it says
    Format comment as "Text", "BBCode" (select BBCode)

    You can also use the toolbar at the top of the post and click the link button from there which will add the tags for you without typing them in manually...

    hope that helps!
