I've noticed that when I use Firefox (I have the latest version), the pictures load awfully slow. I know it's not my internet connection because everything else runs much faster. However, when I switch browsers to IE, the pages load almost automatically. Is Am3 optimized for IE rather than Firefox? I don't have issues when I upload pictures using Firefox with the speed, but loading other people's pictures to view often takes at least 90 seconds to load in Firefox, versus a few seconds for IE. Thanks!
Aminus3 is not optimized for IE. In fact its designed to be best viewed under Firefox. Its very strange that you say a few seconds in IE compared to 90 seconds in Firefox. When it comes to picture viewing on the web, I have always found Firefox to be more useful than IE as IE at times would not show me the page unless it gets the whole thing down, whereas Firefox would first display the layout and show you pictures as they download rather than waiting. Probably this is not true for IE & but I haven't tried that.
The server at times gets loaded and image downloading may take time. I am guessing that you coincidently used FIrefox at a bad time, while the server was finding itself with just too many requests.
Since last week with the latest update to Firefox (upgrade to 2.0.0.13), I did face a lot of issues browsing the web. I uninstalled Firefox and installed Firefox 2.0.0.13 fresh and the issue seemed to have gone away. Not that I am saying that this is the issue, but that update did irritate me a lot both at home and office.
This user is new to Am3 (yesterday) - I'm using Firefox and posted 7 images after signing up and found they loaded very rapidly. I've been very impressed with how quickly everything has processed here so far. FYI - Stephen (fogguy)
