Henny has asked for a critique and opinion on his image:

The colors and bokeh in this photo are so lovely that it makes it difficult to critique. However, if this were my photo I would regret that it has such a scattered composition - the eye flops around looking for the main point of interest without really finding one. Part of the problem is that there is too much, too many flower heads not organized in any kind of pattern. In a photo like this with a very shallow depth of field I think it is important that the most important part of the photo is in sharp focus but again, there are bits here and there that are in focus - some leaves, some flowers - but nothing that can really hold the eye. While it may not be any more successful, here is a very similar photo I took in June, for comparison:Bog flowers

The clarity and dof and fantastic. Wonderful shades of green. And I do agree with Benjamin about lack of main focus. But, I do like the image because of the beautiful light and great detail. Good work! :)

The background makes the flowers stand out. Also, I like the perspective.
I photograph mostly people and what I always look at is what really stands out the most. If I were to photograph flowers I would rather focus on one using others as background or use a wider DOF showing them all. But, again, there isn't a right or wrong way of doing it - everyone sees things differently and I admire that!
    Good work! :))
