    Thought I'd share this in the forum...

    Aminus3 member Daniel Rice (http://strandedinkenmare.aminus3.com) had one of his photos reviewed by landscape photographer Alain Briot on his website. You can see the review at this link.

    Alain talks about contrast and shows how to recover some details in Daniel's image. It is a video review with live Photoshop editing tips.

    Daniel - thanks for sharing, it's not easy to put a critique of an image out for others to see - this was an excellent video with detailed explanations from Alain on what can be done to maintain the goal of dramatic B&W landscape, while also increasing it's sophistication.

    While I strongly agree with the concept of having detail in the shadow, the rest was kind of silly. You don't recover shadow in digital without great penalty, as this hasty demonstration revealed.
