I have a DSLR, of course, but for black and white I still very much rely on my Pentax MZ-S. I have seen the most beautiful black and white shots made from digital images and therefore I know that I really don't have a reason to lug my SLR around with me on holidays, but I never know when to stop post-processing and prefer the one shot chance. I'm just wondering if there are others like me around that still use film for certain subjects?

lot's a people still use film. i love to use my leica m2 and fm3a, but find film/scanning a hassle that i now prefer to avoid. analog kansas and living are just two of the Am3 analog sites I visit.

You can also take a look at parallel-universe, there are many photos taken with film posted recently.

I use a Brand vintage 4x5 view camera for film-capture images. And i use the terms film-capture and digital-capture to distinguish the method of original image capture. Most of the 4x5 images are printed 16x20 in a darkroom. The whole large format process, camera setup, focusing under the black hood, zone calculations, inserting the film, pulling the slide, and making the exposure, is all like a meditation. If I work carefully but quickly, I can usually take two, perhaps three, shots in an hour. I use a Nikon D200 for digital-capture. i do not want one camera to replace what it is I do with each of them. The Brand is about 60 years old, the lenses even older.

    Hi there !
I don´t use it for certain subjects just when I feel like! ,you can find (as you probably know) in my portfolio photos made with different analogue cameras such yashica mat 124 , fuji natura classica , minolta hi-mati sd/af-d , canon eos kiss ...
But as I don´t have a analogue lab I prefer the digital option that allow me much more control over the processing.
Still I´m waiting for the day I can have a digital compact camera as fast and with the high quality and good viewfinder as any of the old analogue cameras...

For parallax, seen on a bumper sticker: I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
